The Need for Heartland Academy
Our Vision is to develop an inviting space that provides an enriching, sensory-friendly environment for Students with Autism and their Families. Our goal is to establish a center in Richland County with a proven success record that could be replicated throughout Ohio, leaving no child without the proper resources to learn where they are comfortable.
There has been a 27% increase in school aged children with autism in Ohio. However, areas outside of major metropolitan cities still lack accessibility to quality programming. There is a need to expand current programming to Northeastern Ohio by offering a successful program that provides evidence based therapies proven to dramatically reduce autistic symptoms within students.

Dear Mr. Webster,
I recently read in Richland Source you will be opening a private school for children with Autism. Congratulations!
As a father of four, I place a high priority on education. In order for our country to maintain it’s prosperity, we must have a well-educated, productive populace. I commend your dedication to the education of children with special needs. I look forward to witnessing the future impact of Heartland Academy.
Again, congratulations. Please do not hesitate to contact my District Office at 614-523-2555 if I can ever be of assistance in the future.
Sincerely,
Patrick J. Tiberi
